Two explosions took place Sunday morning at a chemical plant in Japan. The first one occurred at 2:00 am local time, and killed a worker. Another 16 people were injured.

Blast wave broke windows over a hundred buildings near the plant. The second blast occurred six hours later, but was not hurt anyone.
Company representatives say that the explosions took place while all operations were suspended due to problems in another factory in the campus.
Firefighters still struggled to extinguish a fire.
